Scholarships

The NGA Foundation seeks to position the independent grocery industry as an employer of choice for college students and is committed to supporting students planning careers with this industry. Since 1990 NGA and its affiliates have awarded over $1 million in scholarships providing the critical resources needed to invest in our future leaders.

Eligibility & Requirements

Scholarships are available to those who meet the basic criteria:

  • Rising college freshman through graduate students attending a U.S. college or university
  • Must be enrolled at the time of disbursement to be considered (Fall Semester)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Majoring in Business, Food Management, Accounting, Human Resources, IT or other focuses leading to a career in grocery
  • Experience in the grocery industry is highly valued

Fund A Legacy Scholarship

You can support students pursuing careers in grocery through establishing a Legacy Scholarship in the name of an individual or organization. Scholarships start at $1,000 with an administration fee of $250 per scholarship per year. Legacy scholarships require a multi-year commitment which can be paid up front or on an annual basis. Legacy funders have the option to specify candidate qualifications or follow the existing NGAF scholarship program requirements.
