NGAF TA Center at the NGA Show: An Opportunity to Connect and Learn

One of the most difficult aspects of implementing a SNAP produce incentive program in a grocery store is establishing the necessary connections between three separate entities: grantees, retailers and technology solution providers.

Simply put, grantees have the funding, retailers have the stores and the customers, and the technology companies have solutions for the programs to operate at the POS level. These entities must effectively communicate and partner together, otherwise no incentive program will get off the ground.

The NGA Show in Las Vegas (Sept. 19-21) offers a unique opportunity in the nutrition incentive world for these three groups to meet and establish connections. The National Grocers Association Foundation Technical Assistance Center (NGAF TA Center) will feature a booth during the show to answer questions, provide useful resources and facilitate new partnerships that will help get more fruits and vegetables into the hands of those in need.

In addition to serving as a connection point during the show, the NGAF TA Center Incentive Solutions Demo Booth will be providing retailers and grantees the opportunity to view PowerPoint, video or working POS terminal demonstrations of known solutions being used in stores. Many retailers and grantees struggle to find ways to make SNAP produce incentive programs work at the POS level, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about multiple solutions all in one location.
